This Church Believes, Preaches, And Practices The Teachings Of The Word Of God.

We are convinced that God richly rewards those who learn His teachings, believe and practice them. also, those who do not learn, believe, or practice them suffer untold loss.

Here are our articles of faith according to the doctrines God Holy Script teaches and we believe:

·  We believe in God — God the Father — God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
1 John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

·  We believe that Jesus Christ was and is God from all eternity as the Word.
John 1:1, 2, 14 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (2.) The same was in the beginning with God. (14.) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

·  We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third person in the Trinity, is God.
Romans 15:13 "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." - Acts 1:2 "Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen" - I John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

·  We believe that God created all things, including man.
Col. 1:16 "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:" Gen. 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Gen. 2:7 "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

·  We believe in the sovereignty of God, in the salvation of men and in all things and that nothing can come to pass contrary to his divine will.
Isaiah 40:12-31 "Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? (13.) Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him? (14.) With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding? (15.) Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing. (16.) And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering. (17.) All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity. (18.) To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him? (19.) The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains. (20.) He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved. (21.) Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? (22.) It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: (23.) That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity. (24.) Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble. (25.) To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. (26.) Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. (27.) Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God? (28.) Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. (29.) He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. (30.) Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: (31.) But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Eph. 1:4-12 "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: (5.) Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, (6.) To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. (7.) In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; (8.) Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; (9.) Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: (10.) That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: (11.) In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: (12.) That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ."

Rom. 9:15-16 "For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. (16.) So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy."

·  We believe there is a heaven and a hell and that they are real places.
Rev. 4:1,2 "After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. (2.) And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

Rev. 20:10-15 "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (11.) And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. (12.) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (13.) And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. (14.) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (15.) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."  (7.). We believe in the total depravity of man. There is nothing good in him until God gives him a new heart, until God makes him a new creation in Christ."

Isa. 1:5-6 "Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. (6.) From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment."

Ps. 58:3 "The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies."

Jer. 17:9 "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"

Rom. 3:9, 20 "What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;"

Ps. 51:5 "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me."

·  We believe that salvation of men is altogether of grace — God’s grace — and not by any good works of man. Eph. 2:8-10 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (9.) Not of works, lest any man should boast. (10.) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

Titus 3:5 "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;"

·  This salvation comes as the result of God’s choosing.
Eph. 1:4-5 "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: (5.) Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,"

For this choosing and salvation to become effective, it was necessary for Christ to die for our sins and rise from the dead the third day.
Eph. 1:7 "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;"

Acts 3:18 "But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled."

Acts 17:3 "Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ."

1st Cor. 15:17-20 "And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. (19.) If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. (20.) But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept."

We also believe it is necessary for man to hear the gospel of Christ, to come to REPENTANCE and FAITH in Christ before salvation is consummated.
2nd Thess. 2:13 "But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:"

John 3:14-18, 36 "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: (15.) That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (16.) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (17.) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (18.) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (36.) He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."

Acts 20:21 "Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."

·  We believe in Evangelism — the simple, scriptural proclamation of the gospel of Christ.
Matt. 28:19-20 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (20.) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

1st Cor. 15:1-4 "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; (2.) By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. (3.) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; (4.) And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

·  We believe in the security of the believer. After he is born again he is a child of God and can never cease to be a child of God.
John 14:10, 11 "Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. (11.) Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

John 6:37 "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."

John 10:27-30 "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: (28.) And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (29.) My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. (30.) I and my Father are one."

Col. 1:27 "To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:"

·  We believe that Jesus founded the Church while He was yet on earth and ADDED to the Church on the day of Pentecost.
Matt. 16:18 "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

Matt: 18:17 "And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican."

Heb. 2:12 "Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.

Acts 2:41,47 "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. (47.) Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved."

·  We believe that only a local Church founded on the same principles as the Church Jesus founded while He was yet on earth can be called a true Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, that it is a self-governing body and that it must ever be free from all outside human control or dictation.
1st Peter 5:2, 3 " Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; (3.) Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock."

Acts 11:22 "Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch."

Acts 16:4, 5 "And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem. (5.) And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily."

Acts 15:22-28 "Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren: (23.) And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia: (24.) Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment: (25.) It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, (26.) Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (27.) We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth. (28.) For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;"

·  We believe that baptism is immersion. It is to show forth the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord. It also shows our own death to sin and resurrection to a new life.
Acts 8:38 "And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him."

Col. 2:12 "Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead."

Rom. 6:3, 4 "Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? (4.) Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

It is not for salvation, but is a work of righteousness.
Matt. 3:15 "And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him."

·  We believe that one must be scripturally baptized (immersed) to first enter a New Testament Church.
1st Cor. 12:13 "For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit."

Eph. 4:5 "One Lord, one faith, one baptism,"

Col. 1:24 "Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:"

·  We believe that the Lord’s supper is a local Church ordinance;
I Cor. 11:2 "Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you."

and can only be observed in the Church;
I Cor. 11:18, 20 "For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it. (20.) When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper.

and that it is restricted to the members of the Church observing it; we also believe that it is threefold in nature: a supper of commemoration or a memorial supper, a supper of proclamation, and a supper of anticipation.
I Cor. 11:25, 26 "After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. (26.) For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

·  We believe members may move from one church to another of like faith and order by letter or perhaps in some rare cases be received by statement.
Romans 16:1-2 "I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea: (2.) That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.

·  We believe in both home and foreign missions. To be an obedient church, every church must have a part in sending out missionaries. God requires that missionaries be sent directly by a local New Testament Church.
Matt. 28:19, 20 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (20.) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

Acts 13:2, 3 "As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. 3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away."

·  We believe in tithing. The Old Testament commanded it. The Lord Jesus endorsed it.
Mal. 3:10 "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

Luke 11:42 "But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone."

·  We believe in the Premillenial return of our Lord, first, to catch away his own to be forever with Him; and then to return to rule the world in person for one thousand years.
1st Thess. 4:14-18 "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. (15.) For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. (16.) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (17.) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (18.) Wherefore comfort one another with these words."

Rev. 20:4 "And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."

Luke 1:32 "He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:"

Zech. 14:4, 9 "And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south." (9.) And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one."

·  We believe in the judgment of rewards for God’s children.
1st Cor. 3:11-15 "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. (12.) Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; (13.) Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. (14.) If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. (15.) If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire."

·  We believe in the judgment of damnation for those who will not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Rev. 20:5, 11-15 "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. (15.) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

"Come Thou With Us and We Will Do Thee Good." Num. 10:29
